This policy explains how the mobile game Nyamnyam Town (the "Service") handles your information. The Service is operated by ECSOFT. This English page is a translation; if it differs from the Korean version, the Korean version applies.
Your game save — your little one's growth record, town map, decorated room, letters and so on — is stored on your device. When you buy a sparkle pack, the order IDs the store gives us (the latest 100) and the total sparkles received from purchases are also recorded in the save so the same purchase is never granted twice. On Android, if the system's automatic backup is on, this save may be included in your Google account backup (handled by Google; we cannot see it).
| Category | Items | When |
|---|---|---|
| Device identifier | A device ID made just for this game (Android: a hash mixing the app-specific ANDROID_ID with the game name; iOS: a value made the same way and kept in the Keychain) | Every time the app talks to the server |
| Device info | Device model, platform (Android/iOS), OS version, app version, install source (whether from a store), language setting | When the app starts |
| Push token | Firebase push token for announcement notifications | When the app starts and when the token changes |
| Game save | Game progress such as your little one, bag and decorations (excluding the town map and map square numbers; including sparkle purchase order IDs and totals) | Every 6 hours when the app goes to the background, and when you tap "Back up now" |
| Device transfer code | 8-character one-time code | When you make a transfer code |
| Gift card numbers | Numbers of gift cards you made or received (random 12 characters) | When you make or receive a card |
| Approximate location | Latitude and longitude rounded to two decimal places (about a 1 km grid) | When you make or move "Our town", and when looking up outing places |
| Crash reports | Error details when the app crashes (stack trace), app version, device maker and model, OS version, memory size, time — without device ID or location | When the Android app crashes |
The game server and crash report server are operated directly by ECSOFT (server location: Republic of Korea).
| Recipient | Purpose | Items | How and when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (USA) — Firebase Cloud Messaging | Delivering announcements | Push token, notification content | Over the network, when a token is created after you turn on Server connection and when a notification is sent |
| OpenStreetMap Overpass API (a public map server run by the OpenStreetMap Foundation and others) | Looking up terrain and places around a grid square | Only the grid area (a latitude/longitude rectangle) — no device ID or device info | When you make a town or look up outing places; the game server queries on your behalf |
In-app purchases (sparkle packs) are processed by Google Play and the Apple App Store under their own terms and privacy policies. We receive only the order ID and product type the store passes to the app.
If you prefer, simply leave Server connection off or don't allow location access. Your town map will then be made at random, and everything else works as usual. Map data © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
Location permission is used once each time you make "Our town" or check an outing, and location is never read while the app is not in use (in the background). Your exact location is used only for distance calculations on your device and is never stored or sent. You can turn off location permission at any time in your device settings.
You can ask at any time to see, correct or delete your information, or to stop its processing.
The Service does not collect information that identifies a child, such as a name or contact details. Users under 14 need consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the location features ("Our town" and outings), and the app says so the first time location is used. Parents or guardians can ask to see or delete a child's information using the contact below.
Communication with the server is encrypted (HTTPS). Server access is limited to the operator, and location is received only as a blurred grid value that is never stored with a device ID.

In Korea, you can also report or ask about privacy issues to the Personal Information Infringement Report Center (118, privacy.kisa.or.kr).
If this policy changes, we will let you know in the app and on this page. For important changes, such as sending more information, we will ask for your consent again in the app.
