No. Install it and start right away. Your records are saved on your device.
On your old device, turn on Settings › Server connection and tap "Make transfer code" to get an 8-character code, then enter it on the same screen on your new device. A code works once, within 24 hours.
No. With location, you get a map modeled on your neighborhood; without it, you start with a random town. Location is read once when the map is made, and only coordinates blurred to about a 1 km grid are sent to the server. If you're under 14, please ask a parent first.
Care notifications are capped at 5 a day, and from 10 PM to 7 AM only sleepiness alerts are sent. You can turn each kind off in your device's notification settings.
If hunger and mood stay at the bottom, your little one runs away and leaves a letter. You can bring it back from the shelter. When you'll be away for a few days, board your little one at Grandma Barley's.
